What do you think, mas okay ba na separate kayo ng savings account ng husband mo or better ang joint account?

Pag usapang pera medyo iba talaga, nong panahon na kami nag sisimula palang as couple na isipan namin na kumuha ng financial adviser . She suggested that we should have an agreement when it comes to managing our finances . What we did was we open a separate joint account for family savings , nasa loob non ang lahat ng savings namin like 80% ng sahud namin napupunta don and lahat ng commissions and other income naming mag asawa ,then we have a separate account invidually andon yung 20% of our salary para naman sa mga personal na gastusin like daily allowances etc. When it comes to all the bills we deduct it in our joint account para detailed sya at makita nyo ang lahat ng transactions. Well you just have to be open minded and accept the fact that your as one family already kaya what ever you owns he owns din . Walang bagay na masosolve sa mabuting usapan :)

for us, we have common savings but i also have my own savings account that my hubby doesn't know. Reason for such, I used to earn bigger than him and yet he spends alot, like wala matitira sa sahod namin to the point na kahit mgSave ako pag alam nya my reserved funds pa, hindi sya mgccontrol. So I decided to have my own from my salary, it serves as our emergency fund at hindi rin po ako maluho kasi lumaki ako sa wala, while my hubby came from well off family. With that, pag kinakapos kami meron ako nahuhugot n pera at di kelangan mangutang sa iba, nakaDown payment din kami ng car, at first ngtampo sya but realized its for our own good, after all we were able to get a car. Upto now may savings pa din ako secretly and he's earning bigger than me and he's more responsible financially. All is good. It depends what will work to you, iba-iba nmn po kasi tao.

Samin ni hubby we have separate accounts. Pero yung sa account niya allowance lang niya nilalagay niya, yung savings and other funds namin sa mga accounts na nakapangalan sakin at sa mga bata. Bawat account naman kasi nmin may kanya kanyang purpose, e.g. college fund, trust fund, emergency fund, daily expenses, etc. hindi nmin pinaghahalo halo sa isang acct. para hindi affected lahat. mas namamanage namin.

Have separate accounts and also one joint account. But make sure you agree to this arrangement and you still practice financial transparency and honesty with each other. It would also be good to agree to what is each account allotted for, i.e. The joint account is for household expenses while the separate accounts is for your personal allowance/spending.

Depende sa couple. Sa case namin, we have both. Once na sumahod kami, we widraw our salaries and just leave our monthly allowance in our payroll ATM. Whatever money we save from our allowance (na nasa individual account namin) we are allowed to spend it the way we want. Then we also have our family savings which is andun naman sa joint account.

It's also good to have individual accounts even you are a couple becayse of course you have your own needs as well. However, if you're planning to have a common savings for the family, I think having a joint account is not a problem as long as both parties have a mutual agreement to avoid conflicts in the future.

I think good to have both accounts. A savings account just for you and a joint account with the husband. Though our agreement as husband and wife is "what's yours/mine is ours", it's still nice to have a separate account that's just mine so I don't feel guilty when I splurge on something.

We prefer to have separate accounts. We don't share bills. He's assigned to all the expenses for home loan, telephone and DSL, electricity bill while I shoulder water bill, grocery and our savings. This is so we can budget our own salaries. But we do know each others' accounts and passwords.

It depends kung ano ang mapagkasunduan ninyo na mag-asawa. In our case, we combine our income and deduct all our expenses. Then our family savings go to our joint bank account. We also have an individual bank account where we keep yung mga excess sa personal allowances namin.

both. seperate for your own needs, joint para sa mga needs niyo in the house and also para sa anak niyo din po. pag medyo malaki na yung child niyo, much better if may own savings din po siya ng sarili niya para din po yun sa future niya :)
