Basic hygiene when handling infants

Hi I’m a FTM here. Not sure if being a mum has made me even more cautious or a clean freak but it irks me to know that some people don’t even have the basic common sense to wash/sanitize their hands before holding a baby. Even worse after they have eaten & they decided that it’s fine to just hold the baby. I don’t mind if the stain on my baby’s outfit is caused by her milk or vomit. But like it really upset me to see food stain on my baby’s outfit caused by grown adult lacking of basic hygiene. So disgusted. Sigh, does anyone experienced the same situation .

Hey i feel ya. The first two months i was pretty pissy and kept telling people off. Now i just hold the baby and only pass her after they washed their hands. I think its basic etiquette honestly. Just keep reminding them i guess. I gave up after two months of nagging.

I didn’t experience this situation but yes it is very basic and normal to expect this level of cleanliness
