Breast engorgement but no milk flow
Mummies - I need help 4days PP. I got no milk for the past 4 days. I think its coming but my breast are completely engorged harden now. I tried pumping but nothing comes out. I continue to latch at the same time but I think baby is not having enough. What should I do?
The breast pump will only squeeze at the areola part. Clean your nipples to ensure none of the holes are blocked, then do hand expression + massage to get some of the milk out first. If baby sucks well and there’re no blocked holes, baby can draw out all this milk and make your breast soft again:) use your whole hand to press down the top of your breast and go back and forth, then press the bottom of your breast upwards and go back and forth, followed by each of the size. You’re like pushing the milk from the sides of the breast towards the nipple. Consider seeing a lactation consultant if this state doesn’t improve by tomorrow. If the breast stays like that, you might get mastitis soon. Hope things get better soon!

You will need to ensure your baby is latching correctly and thereby feeding effectively. Hand expression will help to relieve the engorgement and it’s effective than pumping. Try to seek help from a lactation consultant early if you still can not resolve these issues.

When I had engorgement or clogged ducts , nothing helped to clear - massages, pumping, nursing, warm compression, hand expression etc. Only the Malay massage lady could help me.
need to massage (very hard!). sometimes we cant do it ourselves (cos very pain), so get a massage person, or even your hubby to help
Mix Epsom salt and warm water and soak your whole boob in the water. Then try to hand express again.
Use a hot pack n do some massage clears out some blking.. hope it will help u
Have you try hand express? Some mommies dont respond to pump well
Apply warm cloth or take a hot shower go get the flow going.
I recommend mother and child cos they fix my wife problem
